Continuing California's Seismic Activity

A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck near Highland Park, California, on Monday, continuing the state's trend of seismic activity. California's Earthquake Preparedness

California has long been known for its seismic activity, and the state has taken significant steps to prepare for and respond to earthquakes. The California Earthquake Clearinghouse provides information and resources for earthquake preparedness, including tips on securing homes and businesses, creating emergency plans, and stocking up on supplies.

The state also has a robust emergency management system in place, with agencies such as the California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) and the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) working to coordinate response efforts and provide assistance to affected communities.
