The 2019 European Parliament election in Germany was held on 26 May 2019 to elect the 96 members of the national Germany constituency to the European Parliament.

Key Findings

41 political parties participated in the election, with the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and Christian Social Union (CSU) emerging as the strongest party, winning 29 seats in the European Parliament. The Green Party, which had been the strongest party in the 2018 state elections, lost ground to the CDU/CSU.
